Actually, it's the lawyer thing, Lew.
Not trying to imply you've ever crossed that great East/West Divide.

I like Jean Schimidt because I run with her and her daughter Emily. But I hate that she won over Hackett.
I like Paul Hackett not only because he's a former Marine, but because he spoke what he believed.
That he's not running pisses me off. A LOT!!
Oh yes, we have it right here in Cincinnati/Ohio.
I'm going to be writing in Paul Hackett for Senator this May.
This is the guy who lost to Jean Schmidt in District Two last November. It was a surprisingly narrow loss for such a heavily Republican District.
Something for everyone on the board. Jumper, he's a Marine veteran who served in Iraq. Lew, he's an attorney; lives in Indian Hill. The Big Sexy, he says people who oppose gay marriage are ?un-American?. He says the Republican party has been hijacked by religious extremists.
What's not to like?

Yeah kind of. She's got a ton of energy but its kind of shotgun scattered. Her focus is not very good. IMHO
Its weird because of somethings, I'd trust jean schmidt with my life but on others, I woulnd't trust her as far as I can bowl her.
Don't ask me to explain, too hard.
Short version: Running and charity causes. She's OK. Policy for our country. I'm scared.
On just a slight segue:
Finally, an honest politician.

Uh, Dulc, what exactly were you loking for when you found that
As far as Jean Schmidt, I met her a festival once (Hackett as well) both seemed like pretty nice people. Wasnt like we had a long concersattion or anything, but both seemed like fairly common folk and they fit into the mix rather well.
I found this gem on a website that lists the funniest photos on congressional websites:
Rep. Schmidt and family

Schmidt gets reprimand
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Just in case anyone cares whether their elected representative is truthful.A unanimous Ohio Elections Commission voted to issue U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt a public reprimand Thursday for "false statements" - claiming she had a second undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati that she never received.
A letter citing the campaign's "reckless disregard for truth" was to be sent by the commission today to Schmidt, her campaign and her husband, Peter, as committee treasurer. It's the most serious punishment short of fines or criminal prosecution.
I wish I could write in Paul Hackett. But I am not in District 2.
